Ask a Legal QuestionCategory: Consumer LawWarranty on electronic products in Indonesia
Anonymous asked 2 years ago

I purchased a GoPro camera from a reputable camera store in Jakarta. I have an issue with the product just 14 months after purchase. I now noticed however that the warranty is only valid for one year. Being an EU expat I am used to getting a warranty of a minimum of two years for electronic products.
Is the one year warranty I received in Jakarta in accordance with Indonesian law? Should the store offer me a free repair or replacement? A camera is supposed to last longer than a year.
